Skype Video Goes Multipoint

Multipoint videoconferencing is now possible for Internet calling IT service from Skype because of a new software plug-in released by IT company ViVu. As one of third of all Skype-to-Skype calls now includes video, the lack of multipoint video has been seen as something rather disturbing, even though users can make video calls between more than two parties.

Irwin Lazar, an industry analyst with Chicago-based Nemertes Research said that "The flaw in Skype's video strategy right now is that it's point-to-point only." The good thing is that the plug-in called VuRoom, allows up to eight participants for most broadband users to a video call.
