ICO Launches New Privacy Report
Data privacy watchdog the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) today published a new report designed to give firms advice on how to design privacy into their information systems from the very beginning, thus improving data protection.Privacy by Design, which was launched at the ICO’s conference in Manchester, highlights the importance for chief executives to ensure that privacy concerns are clearly addressed in any business case for new information systems.
In particular, it aims to reduce the number of organisations bolting privacy-enhancing technologies onto new systems.
