Yahoo CFO Blake Jorgensen has decided to leave the company following a comment he made at a Goldman Sachs technology conference. Jorgensen told delegates that Yahoo is open to the idea of selling parts of its business. The move might be influenced by Jorgensen's unsolicited statements; however, Yahoo would not confirm if it had asked the its chief financial officer to step down. SEC stated in a limited filing today, "Yahoo announced that Blake Jorgensen, chief financial officer of the company, will be leaving the company. The company has initiated a search for a new chief financial officer. Mr Jorgensen will remain with the company as its chief financial officer through a transition period." Last week, Yahoo's CEO Carol Barthz announced a major reorganization in an effort to turn its plummeting business around. Bartz expressed in a blog, "For us working at Yahoo, it means everything gets simpler. We'll be able to make speedier decisions, the notorious silos are gone, and we have a renewed focus on the customer."
