Windows Phone 7 Seen as "an Ad-Serving Machine"

Littlefish News

IT engineers from IT company Microsoft have been doing their magic with the IT product that's going to be released in October, Windows Phone 7. During a briefing to present the new features on the product, the software giant has called the smartphone platform an "ad-serving machine". In the process of promoting the Windows Phone 7 smartphone platform, Microsoft has been showing off the latest three tools in the sales-blitz portfolio. At an advertising industry conference, Kostas Mallios, general manager at Microsoft's Live Labs, said that “For marketers this is actually turning out to be an ad-serving machine. It lets advertisers connect with consumers over time." When talking about the three new tools, they give brand owners the benefit of accessing the front pages of handsets. Of course, this happens only if IT services users download applications from third parties. With the Tiles and Apps feature, information about offers or new releases can be sent by a brand. The third tool, according to Mallios "can enable an advertiser to push content out to the device.”
