IT Support was used by IT engineers in order to help several job Internet sites that had to deal with some IT security problems. The job sites run by Trinity Mirror Group suffered hack attacks and CVs were exposed even though the newspaper group thinks that they were not copied or accessed. On 19 May, websites such as jobSearch.co.uk and jobs.mirror.co.uk had to face a "concerted and sophisticated attempt to hack into user accounts". "The attacks were on dormant, not current, accounts and did not get beyond log-in details - no CVs or other personal information was accessed. We informed the ICO as a matter of courtesy," said a spokesman from Trinity Mirror. However, he didn't provide any details about the origin of the attacks. Trinity Mirror Group has over 3.5 million users for its CV sites which include totallylegal, PlanetRecruit, The Career Engineer, Secsinthecity (groan) and GAAPweb - for finance and accountancy staff.
