Android mobile operating system is slated to get ThinkFree support. ThinkFree Mobile for Android will allow users to work with Microsoft files. ThinkFree plans to launch the software at Computex trade show in Taiwan, although its commercial distribution is scheduled on July. The firm said it's still closing a deal to offer the software for free with various handheld manufacturers. According to ThinkFree senior manager for sales and business development Edward Coloma, the firm has non-disclosure agreements with some mobile makers, and it's still unclear which units will first get the software. However, ThinkFree declared its partnership with mobile chip maker ARM. Coloma said, "It could well go to an Android-based netbook, which of course has a bigger screen for viewing. But we can optimize for any form factor." ThinkFree Mobile suite includes ThinkFree Write for word processing, Calc for spreadsheets, and ThinkFree Show for resentations.
