According to recent data revealed by government-backed agency GetSafeOnline.org, a lot of people that use IT products such as smartphones don't get proper IT security when using IT connectivity. It seems that 67 percent that use an IT service such as an Internet browser to get online on their smartphones, don't use passwords in order to have the information existing on their handsets protected. Tony Neate, managing director of GetSafeOnline.org, said that "Users must remember that they are essentially carrying around a tiny laptop with a wealth of personal information that is very attractive to fraudsters. The frequency with which many of us upgrade or replace our phones means that we often dont value or look after them in the same way as we would a laptop." The problem is that users that synchronise their smartphone with their PC give cyber criminals the possibility to access the information stored on the PC. The first thing to do against this problem is to use passwords and the PIN function.
