IT service provider Skype wants to make a deal with IT company LG Electronics and Panasonic in order to move its Internet video service beyond the desktop computer to the living room TV. This IT service lets users benefit from free video calls between Skype members but it has its competitors: Cisco Systems Inc and Polycom Inc.
LG and Panasonic will present it at the CES in Las Vegas. Another idea of Skype is to provide IT Support for high-definition video services on computers which will work on computers with a 1.8 Gigahertz processor and a high-speed broadband connection of about 1 megabits per second. This idea includes partnerships with In Store Solutions.
