Skype Doesn't Accept Chinese VoIP Ban

Littlefish News

IT Support was used by the team of IT engineers from the IT company behind the popular VoIP service Skype to bring the IT service to countries like China. The issue is that the Chinese government decided to ban non-Chinese VoIP/Internet telephony services in China, though Skype rejects the ban. According to a report in the Communist party newspaper People's Daily, "This is expected to make services like Skype unavailable in the country. A Skype spokesperson said that  "users in China currently can access Skype via TOM Online, our majority JV partner. TOM Online offers local versions of Skype for Windows, MAC as well as mobile platforms such as Symbian and Windows Mobile. More details can be found at skype.tom.com."
