Two IT security companies want to complaint to the EU because of the fact that IT company Microsoft included its free antivirus software in Windows Update. Even if Microsoft Security Essentials has been free for IT connectivity users for an year now, the software company decided that it wanted to include it in Windows Update. This move made IT companies Panda and Trend Micro furious and they want to make a complaint at the EU. Panda chief executive Juan Santana said that "We agree with Microsoft; it’s better to have some protection than not having any at all. That’s why we encourage Microsoft to continue using Windows/Microsoft Update but instead to push all free antivirus products available on the market, not just MSE." Microsoft didn't comment on the situation.
