The IT company behind the popular social networking Internet site Facebook may be adding HTTPS to its pages in order to give people the possibility of using SSL to encrypt their social networking sessions. However, there is an IT security problem: rogue applications have the ability to turn it off. It seems that one of the best ways for businesses to be relaxed about their IT problems is by using managed services. Sean Sullivan, a security researcher at F-Secure came with this warning. He said that "I tested this several times, and each time I found an application that asked me to 'continue' to a 'regular connection,' my default Account Security settings reverted to HTTP." Facebook is working to fix this issue.
