IT company Vodafone doesn't really like the IT services provided by IT services provider O2 because of the fact that its data network is not good enough. However, there is no evidence that customers from O2 are leaving the services they provide for other companies like Vodafone which criticized O2 or Orange. Vodafone got British Standard Certification for the reliability of its network and that is what makes it different from O2. O2 CTO Derek McManus said regarding robust networks that "The capacity problem isn't going to go away. It's a positive challenge. How do you ensure you have coverage?". Vodafone responded to this statement by saying that "It's extraordinary to see that O2's CTO has admitted that network capacity is a problem that won't go away for them. We have robust and reliable capacity which is why even O2's customers recognise us as the best network."
