IT company Iomega will launch a new IT product in February that turns portable USB sticks into NAS drives called the Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station. The product gives users the possibility to plug their flash drives into the device and make their content available for their home network even though it doesn't have any storage of its own without having to buy a NAS drive.
The iConnect has some common features with the NAS drive like remote backup management and downloading torrents from sharing sites. It can be added to the home network through IT connectivity and it has four slots that can be used for printer sharing or storage. Also, it allows audio and video files to be streamed through devices like game consoles or networked televisions and will cost 99 dollars.
