According to counsultancy firm Robert Half Technology, IT skills are the most in demand right now. The company surveyed 1,400 CIOs and concluded that most companies need people with IT expertise.

Employees with skills in desktop support are also sought after by recruitment agencies. Furthermore, around 76 percent of CIOs said they need people who are skilled in network support and Windows administration. Data management ranks third at 55 percent, followed by telecommunications support and wireless network management at 47 percent and 46 percent respectively.
