Heathrow Terminal 5 has been transformed to an enormous Wi-Fi hotspot courtesy of T-Mobile amidst all the controversies plaguing it recently. This move is designed to give passengers fast and reliable internet connection while inside the building. The Wi-Fi coverage is said to be the size of 50 football pitches.
Internet users will have to be on a mobile contract that offers wireless connectivity for faster connection. The new hotspot will provide internet speeds of up to 8Mbps for laptop users. For non-T-mobile customers or those not signed up with a participating partner, internet service costs £5 for one hour’s access, or £10 for 24 hours.
