Recruitment experts suggested that IT experts need to manage their own development and training to live through the recent economic crisis. The continuing recession will most possibly fuel more job cuts and IT professionals will definitely have their own share of cruel luck. Outsourcing is seen as the remedy for companies to save costs and this is not good news to domestic IT support. On the contrary, advanced IT skills are still sought after in the UK. The demand for  IT service management, business systems development and analysis skills remain to be stable notwithstanding the regression in the general IT recruitment market. Alan Rommel, managing director of recruitment at Parity, warned that although project management skills are still in demand, job applicants should still be very flexible in terms of salary rate and their ability to take various kinds of taks.
