Last Sunday, Microsoft disclosed they have created an online employment web site, Elevate America. The software company aims to enhance access to job training tools and aid individuals in acquiring technical skills required in job seeking.


The website allows users to have access to various Microsoft online training programs. Another offering is a basic tutorial on how to use the internet, maneuver web and client emails, as well as create a resume. More advanced trainings are also offered on the site.



Pamela Passman, corporate vice president of Microsoft Global Corporate Affairs said, "We are also providing a full range of work force development resources for state and local governments so they can offer specialized training for their workers."
