Silicon Valley Investment Decline

Silicon Valley Investment Decline

With the current woldwide financial crisis, it's no shock that the Silicon Valley accounted lesser investments per quarter this year.

Venture capitalists concentrate more on investments on later stage companies which attributed to the low investment rate in early stage firms. This implies the possible permanent change in the type of companies drawing the interest of investors. Moreover, all venture capitals are anticipated to lessen for quite a few more quarters.

According to the Chronicle, there are also several reductions seen at startups consequent to the warnings sent earlier this month by venture capitalists to trim down costs. Among those who are slashing expenditures and retrenching employees are internet firms. The global economic downturn also affected some large companies in the Silicon Valley.
