Certification For Software Lifecycle Security to be Offered by ISC2The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, will extend a new software lifecycle security accreditation. ISC2 is a non-profit organization based in Palm Harbor, Florida. It has certified over 45,000 information security experts in more than 120 countries.

This includes analysts, developers, software engineers, software architects, project managers, software quality assurance testers and programmers.

The exam will cover software lifecycle, vulnerabilities, risk, information security fundamentals and compliance. Applicants must have a three or four-year experience in the SLC process and a bachelor’s degree in IT discipline. It is scheduled to debut at the end of June 2009, costing $599. The application process is open until March 31. Education seminars will begin in the first quarter.
