HP job cuts start early

Littlefish News

The HP staff cull which has been announced to the government's Department for Business Innovation & Skills a fortnight ago has been revealed to be separate from the global program of staff redundancies which were announced earlier. 300 jobs are going to be cut in what they are calling a quarterly cull and due to the notice given to the Government the cuts are going to be made in 90 days or less.HP plan on making the actual global program cuts in October 2014, when over 7.5% of the workforce will be cut loose, a total of over 2,700 individuals. The scheme is going to streamline the HP business to enable it to keep up with todays fast changing market. HP is a leading producer or IT products and has branched out into IT services. They are looking to simplify business processes and advance innovation using the cuts in two years time.
