A report from Strategy Analytics showed that almost 50 percent of US residents will consider totally dropping their mobile data service if they need to trim down domestic budget. On the contrary, only 10 percent said they would stop subscribing to wired broadband service and about 12 percent admitted they would cut digital television service.
Of the 1,110 household decision makers polled, about 10 percent said they would drop their wireline and mobile voice services if faced with the need to save cost.
The survey also found 33 percent were not willing to give up their mobile data service for budget purposes. Around 51 percent said they wouldn’t be making changes with their mobile voice plan, and 67 percent wouldn’t sacrifice their broadband service if and when they need to reduce expenses.
