Skyfire Mobile Browser Officially Released

Skyfire Mobile Browser Officially ReleasedSkyfire has launched the full version of its long awaited mobile browser. The software is now available for download without charges.

Skyfire was built for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 as well as Symbian S60 v3. It is the first browser designed for Windows Mobile, which boasts Adobe Flash content and streaming video. It also supports Java Silverlight and Ajax.

The release was put off to enhance performance, subsequent to feedback given for its beta versions.

Skyfire business development vice president Raj Singh said, "The top two user complaints were that it took a long time to start up and it was slow when zooming in and scrolling, so we attacked those issues."

Skyfire plans to build up the browser over the next few years. The firm will be adding support for social networking sites to compete with rival browsers.
