NetScout Teams Up With Cisco for Location-Based Offering

NetScout has collaborated with Cisco to add location-based service to its Sniffer Global protocol analyser.  The team up will help both firms save troubleshooting cost across wireless networks.
 

With the move, engineers would be able to resove issues at a faster speed.  NetScout's marketing VP said, "Fixing problems in a fixed network is considerably easier as the users don't move around. Wireless, by its very nature, means that locating a problem can be difficult. Most of the time, the issue is down to one device and identifying where that is."

 

Sniffer Global is a plug-and-play network analyzer for both wireless and wired networks.  It allows network managers to employ on-demand network segment monitoring, provides top protocol decodes and integrated packet-level expert analysis. The tool also gives network experts a collective wired and wireless management.
