Mozilla has deeply criticized the impending release of Windows 7, claiming it would cripple the browser market. Mozilla hates the fact that users may automatically get Internet Explorer 8 when upgrading Windows 7 from Vista, unless they choose the custom options.
Mozilla’s chairwoman Mitchell Baker described Windows 7 as "a blatant use of the Windows operating system to change the market dynamics of browser usage."
Opera added, "This issue highlights the problem with the browser marke. It’s certainly something we would want to discuss."
Opera had a talk with the European Union regarding Microsoft’s supposed monopoly by integrating IE with Windows. Microsoft is set to formally explain its ground sometime in June. If its Mozilla and other similar complainants are proven right, Microsoft will be compelled to bundle other browsers with forthcoming operating systems.
