According to Microsoft, an unpatched Powerpoint vulnerability has became the target of hackers. The flaw can be manipulated by getting a user to launch a Powerpoint file which will eventually access an invalid object in memory. Hackers would then execute a code on the system remotely.
The software company said, "Microsoft is investigating new reports of a vulnerability in Microsoft Office PowerPoint that could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted PowerPoint file. At this time, we are aware only of limited and targeted attacks that attempt to use this vulnerability."
The is no fix for the vuln as of yet, but Microsoft may release it before its scheduled release for other patches. Microsoft claims that the flaw does not affects many users, but it targets specific preys.
