Apple Features Antifraud Protection in Safari

Safari 3.2, the latest version of Apple's widely popular browser, now features an antiphishing tool which alerts users whenever they are redirected to phishing sites. Subsequently, users are steered to pages on Google's website.

Though Apple has stayed mum on the details of Safari's new attribute, some sources have already released several spoilers giving users an idea of what might be the latest addition to the browser's pool of nifty features.

Safari 3.2 is obtainable from Apple's site, while users can get the update their existing browser version using the embedded update feature or Windows, with the use of Apple Software Update Utility.

Safari was first released as a public beta on January 7, 2003 on Apple's Mac OS X operating system. It is presently the native browser on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
