Open Source Portable Firewall Launched

Yoggie, an Israeli security firm, is taking a different turn on its portale firewall platform, creating an open source firewall by which applications can be built by various developers. The company has recently introduced two novel versions of the Gatekeeper firewall, the Open Firewall Pico, and the Open Firewall Soho.
Both Pico and Soho run on a Linux kernel and its internal Linux command line interface can be accessed by developers. In addition, developers can use a free SDK to build their own applications.
Shlomo Touboul, Yoggie founder and CEO, noted that the third-party applications will most likely be available in a few weeks.. Touboul also added, "Limited only by their imagination, developers can add incredible extensions and applications to produce enhanced solutions for PC security, management, backup and content sharing."
