A new iPhone application was developed by United Lemur, a group of veteran Mac and iPhone developer. The app, dubbed as Puzzllotto, is the very first product of the company costing US$4.99. It is an "exploration puzzle game" in the spirit of Zork and Myst, set in the dark jungles of an "eighth continent."
United Lemur is a budding software company spearheaded by Mike Lee. He co-founded iPhone app developer Tapulous and was also a developer of Delicious Library. The company employs a consortium of developers who previously worked on VMWare Fusion and Apple’s Safari browser.
According to Lee, United Lemur’s main goal is to "Ship beautiful products to make a better world." In addition, the company aims to provide opportunities for developers to promote their products directly to the public before shelling out any money for venture capital. The company hopes to attain this through its new Fundware site.
