Promisec Releases Free Online Encyclopedia on Network Security Threats

Promisec, a network security provider, released a free online encyclopedia listing internal network security issues. It includes lists and dates of a number of potential threats and the severity of these threats using a five-part scale. The encyclopedia is part of the Promisec Risk Center, a resource of statistics highlighting significant internal network threats. Also included are the applications that are of great potential threats, with details on the manufacturer, systems affected, and relevant links and date added.
Promisec aims to detect and eliminate internal threats, without using ActiveX or any other type of dissolvable agent, run-once technology that removes traces of itself. The company’s move will surely promote awareness on internal threats plaguing most IT networks.
