Internet explorer has held the top position for a long time as the worlds most popular browser. Though for limited time periods Chrome has been able to claim the top spot, before now it has never been number 1 for an extended period of time. When looking at the daily variances, it shows that Chrome is the users choice at home, as out of office hours the number of Chrome users is higher than that of IE users but the top choice for the work environment is IE, it isthis which keeps IE on the top spot. For one whole week however Chrome over took IE as the number 1 search browser in the world. The rise has occurred as the popularity of Chrome has spiked in South America and Asia.
