Facebook Privacy Not Good Enough

Littlefish News

IT company Sophos has decided to talk in an open letter about the issues the social networking IT service Facebook has when it comes to the privacy of IT connectivity users. The IT security vendor claims that there are three main ideas Facebook should keep in mind when handling privacy: decent default privacy, vetting of application developers, and HTTPS not as an option, but as a default. Sophos also advised the social networking Internet site to ask users before adding new information-sharing features and not to put them on by default. The letter ends with Sophos asking Facebook to start doing something about this before regulators jump on.
