Bartz Conducts First Yahoo Shareholder Conference

Newly appointed Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz officiated the company's first shareholder meeting. During the event, Yahoo's future plans were discussed specifically Bartz' aim to retool the site's homepage and auction some of the firm's web assets.
 

Bartz already did some retooling on Yahoo's advertising scheme and had streamlined its business priorities.  The CEO dodged rumors of a Microsoft deal saying she could not comment on the issue. Both companies have expressed eagerness to close a possible advertising deal.  

 

The meeting was in full contrast to that of last year, where investors made waves resulting to the transformation of Yahoo's board.
