A Digital Bill of Right has been submitted for approval in the US to battle the soaring number of internet crimes. One of the primary player in cybercrimes is identity theft, and the bill is expected to eliminate this.
The bill calls for the rights to use and reuse content, to control digital property on one’s own device, to have a free flow of informatin, to having privacy, and to control one’s digital identity.
Many people position this as the ultimate answer to today’s increasing number of internet illegalities, but some see it as a deprivation of freedom on the web. The internet is a global entity, and putting restrictions may be a little too harsh for people who constantly use the web and make it a significant part of their daily lives.
