Justice Department to File Antitrust Claim Against Google
Justice Department to File Antitrust Claim Against Google
The US Justice Department has employed the services of former Disney vice chairman Sanford Litvack to prepare charges on antitrust against Google.US lawyers have been deposing witnesses and issuing subpoenas in the last couple of weeks to back up a challenge to the deal. This, however, doesn't mean that a case will be filed on court. Mr Litvack was hired to gather evidence should the department decides to formally file charges against Google.
Some people speculate that this antitrust claim came to light due to the impending Yahoo-Google union. The Association of National Advertisers filed a complaint to DOJ a week ago on the alliance of the two huge companies.
