Netflix Glitch Blamed on Hardware

Netflix had shipping delays earlier this month which disgruntled many users. According to a blog post by the company, the outage was triggered by faulty hardware. Netflix seeked the help of some forensic experts to identify the root cause of of the glitch and immediately dispose it.
Netflix is the largest online DVD rental service, offering flat rate rental-by-mail and online streaming to customers in the United States. On August 11, the company's monitors flagged database corruption event in its shipping system. Throughout the day, Netflix have been experiencing similar problems in peripheral databases until its shipping system went down. Netflix has taken steps to beef up its shipping system with the acquisition of additional equipment.
