Politicians Urge for Net Neutrality and Broadband Policy

Two Democratic politicians, Donna Edwards and Jonathan Adelstein, expressed their aim to have an integrated broadband policy which will offer internet connections to places that don't have them yet.
Though most of the areas in the U.S have broadband connection, there are still rural places where limited access to the internet is available. It was even claimed that 99 percent of US postal code have broadband service. However, there are still places where technology has not extended its reach.
At the OneWebDay event in Washington, key internet values were discussed. Participants exhorted for a comprehensive U.S broadband policy that would allow all US residents to have broadband connection. Another key topic pushed at the event was net neutrality. This is to forbid broadband providers from thwarting or decelerating web content.
