Intel Develops Remote PC Access Function
Intel has another addition to its broad selection of hi-end products. According to a report on The Wall Street Journal, Intel is now developing a new technology that allows people to remotely access their computers and recover files across Internet connection. Remote Wake will be used along with a recently introduced chipset from Intel. It needs new software to be loaded in the PC. This technology will also enable PCs that use Internet-based phone services to be remotely activated to receive calls. To successfully use this, users will need to put their PCs in “sleep mode” which also helps them preserve energy.
