AMD releases chip which will allow for slimmer laptop production

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) an innovation IT company has released its second-generation A-Series accelerated processing units, code-named "Trinity".The chip is a 32 nanameter, high- k metal gate CPU- GPU configuration- it has 4 CPUs and a single GPU. AMD states that this chip will offer superior gaming experience for users. It offers 29% more complete power than the previous model and it boasts up to 56% better graphics performance, and up to 12 hours battery life on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop.The IT product is already at a stage where is can be shipped in volume- negating a problem experienced previously where demand outweighed supply. The first laptops using the chip are expected to go on sale in June in the US. AMDs goal is to enable the slimmer and highly desired laptop designs to be produced as well as slimmer desktop PCs, from a current IT support angle the chip will allow the current sized models of run off their batteries for longer.
