Users started expressing their frustrations on social messaging sites at 10 am on Tuesday 17th July after they experienced a series of problems with the UK site. Business programs were unable to connect to the website to check for upgrades and UK customers were left without critical software including its Payroll suite for up to 10 hours. The issue was caused as the firms web server for sage.co.uk went down, the reason behind this failure however has not yet been disclosed by the IT companies headquarters- located in Newcastle.IT support was given to customers in the form of regular updates supplied by Sage on their social networking sites.
