Yahoo Buzz Now Open to All Publishers

Yahoo Buzz Now Open to All PublishersYahoo found a new way to lure users into its “Buzz up” content-recommendation service through opening doors to all publishers. Web publishers can now add content to Buzz via simple code.
Yahoo Buzz is a community-based news article website that combines the features of social bookmarking and syndicating through a user interface that allows editorial control. Users are allowed to publish their own news stories, and link to their own or another user’s site that links to a full story of the information. This drives traffic to that person’s website and creates a larger market for sites that research and publish their own news stories. Its rivals include Digg, Reddit, and Stumbleupon. Yahoo Buzz’ recent offer to publishers is expected to closely contend with its rivals and boost site traffic.
