Parents Want Hi-Tech School Reports

Becta, a government education technology agency, concluded in a survey responded by 1,493 players that roughly 68 percent said they wanted schools to send out reports on their children's performance via text or email.

Most parents would like to have an updated report on how their kids do at school and this time, they want the easier and faster way. At least 8 percent of the parents polled admitted they have been receiving reports through email and SMS.  Some 15 percent said they were told at least once a month about their child's progress, and 85 percent said they were only updated every quarter.

According to Tanya Byron, clinical psychologist and TV parenting expert, "Using a variety of digital platforms, such as the internet and text, will enable schools and parents to have a greater collaborative relationship, which can only benefit each child."  Today's technology is pretty much convenient and it would be a relief for parents to have a closer look at how their kids carry out academically using the modern methods.
