Google Develops Open-Source Browser, Chrome
Google confirmed through its blog that it will be introducing the new Chrome browser. The browser will be launched in 100 countries and will only be available in beta version in Windows. Versions for Mac and Linux are already in the works.Googles move to start its new browser aims to add value for users, and at same time, help drive innovation on the web. Chrome is designed simply, giving users a fast and clean browsing experience.
Google attributes the realization of Chrome to many open source projects. The company also revealed the use of components from Apple’s WebKit and Mozilla’s Firefox, among others. Consequently, Google has decided to make all of its code open
source as well.
