BT Supports Foreign Wi-Fi Hotspots
BT Supports Foreign Wi-Fi Hotspots
The British Telecom is now offering 6,600 Wi-Fi hotspots to its consumers. The areas supported will be the United States, South America, and Canada.BT has recently made an agreement with iBAHN, a US wireless firm, to launch 1,500 hotspots throughout the US and Canada. Customers would only need to shell out £28 for 500 minutes over a 14 day period to take advantage of the service. Some critics see the expansion as a wrong move since BT lost 6,500 hotspots on September. BT, howver, maintains that the loss made inconsequential damages to the company and it does not, in any way, affect their service to existing customers.
BT is the dominant fixed line telecommunications and broadband Internet provider in the United Kingdom. It operates in more than 170 countries and about 33 percent of its revenue now comes from its Global Services division.
