VeriSign Offers DDoS Tracking Service

Network infratructure company VeriSign has launched a new offering from its Internet Defense Network. The feature is designed to track distribute denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
 

According to VeriSign, the new feature enables webmasters to manage traffic and pick up alerts when DoS attacks are about to happen. 

 

"Customers who attempt to overprovision their bandwidth are lulling themselves into a false sense of security against a real DDoS attack," VeriSign's chief technology officer Ken Silva said.

 

"Keeping bad traffic from reaching your doorstep requires a new cloud-based service such as VeriSign Internet Defense Network."

 

VeriSign offers a wide array of network infrastructure and a variety of security and telecom services including digital certificates, payments processing, and managed firewalls to mobile call roaming, toll-free call database queries and downloadable digital content for mobile devices.
