Twitter Still Struggling to Gain Balance After DDos Attack

Twitter is still affected by the denial-of-service attack launched against the micro-blogging site last Thursday. 
 

Twitter was down for several hours and it had to resort to some solutions that prevented a few third-party applications from communicating with the company's API. Although Twitter is up and running now, users still can't post tweets through SMS. The problems resulted from a series of security checks the company is running to protect it against the attack. 

 

A blog post from Twitter stated, "Due to defensive measures we've taken against the ongoing denial-of-service attack, some Twitter clients are unable to communicate with our API, and many users are unable to tweet via SMS. We are working as quickly as possible to restore our full service."
