Twitter Revises Terms and Conditions

Twitter recently amended its Terms and Conditions, giving room for advertisers to take advantage of the site's 45 million users. 
 

"Now that we know more about how Twitter is being used, we've made changes to our Terms of Service—these are the basic rules that go along with using Twitter," Twtter founder Biz Stone said.

 

"With these revisions, we expect some discussion so here are a few highlights from the updated page. Advertising — we leave the door open for advertising. We'd like to keep our options open as we've said before."

 

Stone previous announced the Twitter plans to venture more on advertising. This could be the reason why the firm kept its advertising clause open-ended hinting that changes may occur in the future. 

 

Experts are qutite cynical about the benefits of advertising in social networking websites. Some have argued that businesses are hesitant to promote their products and services in variable and user-based content.
