Teen Arrested for Music Uploads
A 14-year old boy was apprehended by Hong Kong customs officials for uploading 2,000 Chinese-language pop songs on a website for free downloading.The unnamed suspect is alleged of uploading largely Cantopop songs. He is reported to have promoted free downloads in an internet discussion forum.
The boy is currently out on bail of 2,000 Hong Kong dollars or $373 and has not been formally charged as of yet. Should he be proven guilty, he will be facing a maximum penalty of four years and a fine of HK$50,000 ($9335) for every breached item.
