One of the most notable botnet is Rustock, which is responsible for 10 percent of all spam activities. According to researchers, Rustock followed a daily routine, pushing junk mails everyday at around 8:00am GMT until 8:00 pm GMT.
Another critical botnet is Maazben, which primarily triggers casino-related spam messages. Although Maazben is only 5 months old, the network is reported to be pushing 1.4 percent of total spam loads.
