MySpace Appoints New Fianance Officer
MySpace has named its new finacial officer, Mark Rosenbaum.Rosenbaum worked as a financial consultant to the MGM movie studio and perviously served as a senior VP for corporate finance at Gemstar-TV Guide. He also acted as the chief executive at SmartJog SA, a capital-backed French internet company. He held a VP position at the international free and basic TV distribution and U.S. Networks for News Corp's Twentieth Century Fox.
Rosenbaum will directly report to MySpace CEO Owen Van Natta.
MySpace became the most popular social networking site back in 2006. However, its luck ran out when Facebook took the crown, luring millions of users in just a span of 2 years.
MySpace previously declared redundancy, planning to axe about 66 percent of its global workforce. The company recently made major changes in its management, hoping to turn its business around and compete with leading social networking sites.
