Mozilla Store users were advised to reset their login information following a data breach in the online store. In a blog post, the group revealed third-party provider GatewayCDI was breached by unknown cyber attackers.
Mozilla stated, "Once notified, we took the immediate preventative step of shutting down the Mozilla Store to ensure that no additional users could be compromised."
"Mozilla immediately reached out to GatewayCDI and encouraged them to quickly inform individuals whose data had been compromised."
GatewayCDI chief marketing officer Conrad Franey assured that user information would be removed from its database for protection; however, users are still advised to change their username and password when using the same data on other sites.
